Mazda 5 Fan Club Started

Welcome to the Mazda 5 Fan Club....
For those of us stuck
with such boring cars as the Toyota Camry or Chevrolet Corsica SS....we gladly embrace and encourage you to join our new Club. Sure you aspire to be seen in one like me and take the complements of "What the hell is that" when filling up with Gas as the highest complement. Sure you desire the plush 3 rows of seats and classic lines that can only be so expertly designed by the team from that bought you such classics's as the Pontiac Aztec.
Sure the combination automatic/manual transmission will only bring out the true auto enthusiast in you who are upgrading from the Lotus Esprit or Ford GTS.
I welcome you all owners, admirers and haters (we love all) to our world.

Gare, I can totally understand your passion with a finely tuned vehicle, like the Mazda 5. I too have a car that will forever have a special place in my heart, The 1983 Mercury Lynx. If I didn't wrap it around a telephone pole I would challenge you to a race.

Joe, I would gladly accept that challenge....This 4th of July was spent greatly reducing the drag coefficient by applying Rain-X to the windows...oh, of course the guys over at the Daewoo club frown on this, but what do they know. They are still holding on to the dream a 3rd row seat for there Daewoo Nubira. As bad ass as the Mercury Lynx was in it's prime of 1982-1982, your model had a penchent for torque oversteering and a deep affection for all things pulp. I think a fair comparison would be to look at the performance specs of Motor Trend or Car and Driver but for some reason there aren't any? SO we will agree to disagree that the Mazda 5 would easily trample the Mer Lynx with it 's state of the art Auto/Manual transmission and F1* developed chassis and suspension.

*F1 = Fieros' engineers failed 1st attmept.

Don't even get me started on the Daewoo club. None of them will submit to a random Rain-X test, none of em! I don't appreciate the way you talk down about my Lynx. True, the Lynx was the sister car to the Ford Escort, but it had class. Where the Escort had manual transmission, the Lynx had automatic. Where the Escort had push button AM radio, the Lynx had... well, push button AM radio. At least it was easy to install the FM converter.
Gare, (if that's your real name) I will gladly race you. It may take time to get a working Lynx ready to go, but I will race you. You will be begging the Daewoo guys to help . There needs to be a few ground rules for the race.
1) no wheels over 13".
2) anything over a V3 will be disqualified. The Lynx came with 4 cylinders, but only 2-3 worked at a time.
3) Cary needs to be the flag girl to start the race.
